Rotary International is a reputed organization of global standards managing rotary clubs all over the world. The purpose for the establishment of these clubs is to highlight the importance of humanitarian services among the corporate circles. Process of Functioning

History

The first club of Rotary International was formed in 1905 by Paul Harris. Since then, there has been no looking back for the organization. Its most notable achievements to till date are roles played during Spanish Civil War in Spain and Nationalist Socialist Movement in Germany.

Membership

Rotary clubs operate successfully through its membership process. There are several factors that are taken into consideration while selecting members. Meanwhile, the club reflects secularism as it consists of members irrespective of caste, religion and race. There are separate memberships offered to women and minorities as well. An honorary membership is given to only those who have achieved a distinguished status through dedicated service.
